The following are approximate sizes for soakers, shorts
& pants. Use these charts as a guideline, but please keep
in mind that each soaker item is unique and measurements will
vary. Soakers are designed for a snug, trim fit. Shorts and
pants are designed with a relaxed fit, like clothing--please
keep this in mind when determining size. *IMPORTANT NOTE*
Pants and shorts made with the Curly Purly waistband will
differ from the chart below. This chart reflects the sizing on
my regular waistband shorts and pants.
Please feel free to email for sizing advice. CP waist pants
and shorts will be more narrow through the hip and leg, and
fit more like leggings than pants.

Mosaic Moon soakers/pants/shorts really will fit a wide
range of sizes. The best way to determine your child`s size is
to note down the waist, rise, and thigh (inseam too for pants)
over the bulkiest diaper normally worn. New soaker items will stretch/give when first worn, so don't worry if they seem a *little* snug at first. Buying "big" will give long wear, but a less
trim fit.
Mosaic Moon soakers work over any type of diaper, but I
have found them particularly suited to fitteds. The fitteds
that I personally use and love are Mosaic Moon
one-size-fits-most, PattyNaps fitteds, fitteds from The Enchanted Nursery, FussyButt fitteds, and fitteds from ElBee Baby.
For flats and prefolds, I recommend purchasing a soaker
with a more snug fit, especially in the thigh. Your child`s
thigh measurement should fall in the middle of the range that
I give for thigh circumference for a snug, not tight, fit.
Another thought would be to go with the soaker shorts for more
coverage, if you feel your child needs it.
I am told that soakers will stretch about 1/4 inch in the
thigh, and will get slightly wider and shorter over time. Just
things to keep in mind.
Mosaic Moon offers 4 sizes at present: nb/sm, sm/med,
med/lg, and lg/xl If you have a hard-to-fit baby, you will
probably want to custom-order. In-stock soakers will still
vary in measurements from soaker to soaker, so it`s best to
have your child`s measurements on hand.
All of that said, I had used the same 3 soakers on my own
daughter from summer 2003 to summer 2004 and they worked
perfectly. They were my *experiments*, were not made
specifically to fit her, and have never fit her snugly in the
thigh. I never had any leaks with them! I just love our
knitted wool soakers!
